Utania

Myaric Silverthwaite

Utania was a world forged in war. The most ancient legends and myths are filled to the brim with tales of the unending, bloody chaos of the world's prehistory. But the stories also tell of the coming of the gods, and how they interceded to support the growth of civilization, the founding of nations, the rise of kings, and the establishment of law and order.

The secret and dark corners of the world still reverberate the screams of the past. Long lost vaults contain magic and weapons utterly abhorrent to modern eyes. Grudges that surpass the grave lie festering beneath the dirt. A fire left smoldering is a fire that may burn again.

The world is still a dangerous place with each continent presenting its own challenges. On Darluna , the mortal races cluster in cities and communities in the defensible locations. Travel is done in well armed groups. Each nation keeps warriors on hand with the might to challenge anything they may face. Aetheris and Aurestria are continents of extremes, both in climate and landscape. Cities dug out of ice, castles built upon volcanoes, and clouds that carry you to other worlds are a part of life here. On Arathen you can find the seemingly safest lands on Utania, but wealth and power create the most dangerous monster or all: greed.
