Rarebb
An aquatic habitable planet that is almost entirely covered in large oceans. The world has no large continents but has a number of islands dotting the world.
Rarebb is best known for being the homeworld of the Zikrat species, which used to be organic but are now robotic. Only a small number of ruined repositories, used to transfer their minds to robotic bodies, from their early sentient machine age remain. These are however visible from orbit and are a grim reminder of the price of progress.
Rarebb is the 3rd planet from the local sun. It is also slightly larger than an average habitable world, giving it a higher gravity but the zikrat have evolved to be pressure resistant.
Now most of the ground under the waves is covered in massive cities, as well as many islands. This classifies the planet as a near-ecumenopolis with a population of about 200 billion robotic zikrat.
Rarebb is the 3rd planet of the Tralakas System and is of an average temperature for a habitable planet. Large regions are determined through large underwater planetary features or sometimes islands. For example, straight lines are sometimes drawn between large volcanoes and geothermal vents, as well as entities such as coral reefs (but never personality repositories because the regions were established long before the repositories were built). Each region has its own set of native species and common features and, as of more recently, repositories and cities. Some of the larger regions include:
Trnae, an equatorial region and the world superpower for about 100 years in pre space zikrat history. Known for its industrial base with thousands of factories covering much of the surface. A significant amount of mining also takes place on Trmae.
Erznk - A region quite close to the planetary poles. The people of Erznk has to wear large, thick clothing to retain warmth or, later, various heating technologies. The Erznk nation developed geothermal power for the first time, a technology which would be adopted in many other places of the planet. This region and nearby regions also had a number of large icebergs which some creatures cling to for ground. No repositories were built on ice, but many have been built under the iceberg regions for superior cooling ability, but any chimneys sent from the structures would have to be unobstructed, no icebergs could come close enough to damage or block them. Due to this, the chimneys were sometimes intentionally made quite hot.
