Davidtown
The militia settlement that will attack Willowmoor in the near future.
This article is very much in flux as it is meant to be a reference guide for me as I sit down for my NovelEmber 2025 story!
Demographics
- More men than women
- Very few elderly/disabled
- Very few minorities - most are among the women and children
Government
- Cal and Bones run everything through the militia
- The only laws are the 10 Commandments
- The only punishment is death
Defences
- Guns, rocket launchers, grenades
Industry & Trade
- They do not trade
- If they had an industry, it would be warmongering; they conquer smaller settlements or take in strays they find in the wilderness - often forcefully
Infrastructure
- They are a settlement on the move, but they have smaller settlements where they leave the women, children, and some men to keep them in check
- Their roving military caravan looks like that - army trucks, tanks, and regular vehicles that have been spray painted with symbols
Assets
- People (men)
- Weaponry
History
- Before Davidtown, there were New Crestview and New Bonneville
- New Crestview was a neighborhood that Cal took charge of and which was destroyed a few months after the apocalypse began
- New Bonneville was a town that prided itself on its militia, turning the bones of a shelled-out city into their home...until they "welcomed" the Willowmoor caravan, which saw to the destruction of the town
- New Bonneville was already in the process of rebuilding when Cal and his group of survivors came across their settlement
- Cal chose the name Davidtown after he was able to put himself in a position of power
- Bones appeared later on to tell them everything he learned while in Willowmoor and take on a joint leadership role with Cal
- They have spent at least two years roaming the countryside around the middle of The West as they conquer settlements and raid destroyed townships for weapons and supplies
