The Origin Peaks
The ancestral lands of dragons
The Origin Peaks are where Aurelion Sol, God of dragons first saw the beauty of this world and where he planted a seed. This seed of concentrated magic would bloom into the birth of all kinds of draconic species.
A perfect place for dragons to flourish, they quickly claimed the floating isles as their ancestral land. From then on, territorial disputes became common as their numbers grew, in addition chaos started to become more and more common as more and more started to have differing desires and opinions.
This led to the founding of the Scale Council as a way for the more powerful ancient dragons to maintain harmony within the peaks.
Geography
Chains of floating islands make the peaks, each unique in some way. Some hold everlasting waterfalls, while others seem to encourage plants to grow at exponential speeds. A land trully blessed by the god of creation.
Ecosystem
Many lifeforms have adapted to survive in this unique location. Many types of birds and insects can easily enjoy the different isles biospheres. There even are many types of fish who live in the floating islands lakes, simply aware to never come close to waterfalls and the likes. Mammals and other vertebrates also developped on some islands, however they are more limited in their ability to move around, making them often easy prey for larger creatures, such as the ever-present dragons.
Localized Phenomena
Each isles is unique, and the amount of them makes it possible for many types of strange events to unfold. From lightning always striking some of them, to an active volcano on another; anything seems possible within the Origin Peaks.
