The war that began with Atlantis sinking, the blasted lands being created, and the Voidborn being let through into Winter.

Then came the greatest of all wars, the Atlantis war. It was a war that would change the face of the realms forever.    

Instigating Event

Fae mined beneath the ice of Atlantis, finding ressources and magic of all kinds. They dug deeper and deeper until they broke a pocket of chaos magic, left by the Void itself during the creation of the realms. As the magic erupted, it heated the ice in a giant blast, sinking Atlantis and creating the Atlantis sea, forever warming the waters.   That same blast erupted into the sky, and the shockwave came down to the land, hitting the edges of the Winter Realm, stripping those lands of everything and breaking the barrier between the Void and the faerie realm. It’s a place where magic cannot exist, and a special ice flower’s pollen causes intense waking nightmares if one enters. Click for more on the Alostar Flower     With that barrier broken, the Voidborn came in droves, driven into the Winter realm like nothing anyone has ever experienced before in all the previous wars.  

The Great Sacrifice

  The four rulers of the realms came together in one final desperate attempt, and sacrificed themselves to create a barrier to hold back the Voidborn.
