Alostar Flower
Alostar flowers were fist discovered in 1600 BCE with the fall of Altantis, when the shockwave fell from the sky and created what is known as the Blasted Lands. The flowers only live in the Blasted Lands despite the harsh conditions. They don't grow from the ground, but from hard compact ice. They tend to take on ice like qualities which would make them blend in if they didn't glow with magic, especially their pollen.
What's notable about them is they produce a compound that causes waking dreams (hallucinations) to Fae or Humans who breath it in. In the blasted lands the flowers are known to send out entire clouds of pollen into the air, or to be carried in the wind. They glow various colors due to the magic, and are usually potent enough to cause not just waking dreams, but waking nightmares.

Alostar Drug / Alostar Drink
The petals of the flower are sometimes sought after by the bravest of gatherers. They enter the blasted lands, briefly, to collect these petals, as it is the only place the flowers can grow. People have tried, and failed, to grow it elsewhere.
These petals are crushed and turned into a powder that can be made into a pill or mixed into a drink. The trick is to take a low enough dose to see waking dreams, and not nightmares. It's a common drug amongst Winter, especially during festivals in drinks.
Nightmare Warriors, who are naturally more mentally stable to endure the pollen, sometimes enter the Blasted lands to collect the whole flower. They take the petals and the highly potent pollen and crush it into a powder they use for interrogations.
