The Phoenix Crew
A Camarilla aligned coterie based in New York. Originally named the M&M&M&F (in refference to their original members: Max Ewans, Martin Summers, Margreth Fairstad and Frank Clark), then later renamed into the Phoenix Crew after Max's club. They are a loose alliance based on mutual interest and safety and not a more specialized coterie like a coterie of Hounds or custodians of an Elysium.
This coterie is notorious amongst the NYC Camarilla for being chaotic and prone to causing problems. Yet whatever schemes they've been roped into they've come out with their immortal unlife intact.
After a massive Masquerade Breach, the coterie was in serious trouble with the Camarilla court. They barely avoided more serious punishment by sacrificing major assets, one of their members taking on a new identity; as well as agreeing to the following conditions: find out what has happened to the missing Malkavian Primogen Henry Edwards Gallahan, and take on a new member: the faction-less pariah Vincent Cole. It was also at this time Max stepped back from the coterie, taking a more passive role by attending his club, now property and open feeding ground for the NY Camarilla.
In only a couple of nights. The Phoenix Crew managed to gather enough clues to track down and rescue Primogen Gallahan. As a reward they were all pardoned for any previous Masquerade related crimes, and accepted as fully trusted members of the New York Camarilla. Primogen Gallahan himself even offered a boon for the coterie to call in at a later date. Though he had another request - as a sign of faith in their capabilities: accept a freshly Embraced Malkavian fledgling into their coterie and show them the ropes.
Due to recent developments the coterie is currently investigating Gallahan's involvement with the murder of three Anarchs. Working together with Sheriff Jack.

The coterie was first formed as the NY Camarilla needed a potential Masquerade Breach investigated: a series of suspicious murders. An illegaly embraced Caitiff was found to be the source of the exsanguinated victims. After successfully convincing the New York Camarilla court to spare Morgan, in exchange finding his sire so they may be executed instead.
