One of the young hunters the The Phoenix Crew dealt with early in the coterie's career. After their first attempt to save her from the sheriff's judgement, she was captured and forced to become a blood doll for the NY Camarilla.
The young kindred did however take pity on them and elected to send them away, on the condition they stop hunting vampires and never return to New York. The Sheriff and Nosferatu Primogen didn't take kindly to this. Intercepting them, killing Adelaine's brothers and taking Adelaine back to the NYC History Museum Chantry to become a blood-bound, brainwashed and catatonic blood doll. Little better than a human-shaped blood bag.
When this was discovered by Margreth Fairstad during the December 2023 Elysium. She went to her coterie and formed a plan to rescue her. Though successful, even managing to break Adelaine out of her catatonic state. She was utterly broken by her trauma, and worse yet had to stay a few more days and nights locked in Vincent Cole's bunker for her safety. Even then, when it seemed she could leave. The best course of action was for her to be sent to Margreth's parents' farm, and become her blood-bound ghoul. As to not risk Adelaine seeking vampires out in desperation as the withdrawals of a fading blood bond could prove too excruciating for her.
Currently she lives quite happily with the Fairstads' on their farm. Having found a loving home. Though it is in part due to the blood bond, but in no small due to Margreth's lengthy efforts to see Adelaine (relatively) free and safe. Adelaine has found it in her to forgive Margreth.
