The Minor Arks
Over the last three centuries, people have found several minor Arks (also known as bunkers to differentiate them) dotted throughout the Wilds. Unlike the Olympian Ark, which is sealed with an unbreakable door, these Arks are often far less protected, and much smaller in scale, sometimes only large enough to have housed a single family.
Most of the bunkers have been openable with lockpicks, bolt cutters, welding torches, or the like. Some have even been left unlocked once their occupants evacuated. Some more high tech bunkers, generally found in what were presumably the more affluent neighborhoods, have LOSTech locks that are much more difficult to open and require specialized skills or even cybernetic enhancements.
These hazards make entering a newly discovered bunker extremely dangerous. It’s recommended that anyone who discovers a bunker should inform the History Department at the University of Apollo so that a professional expedition team can be sent to handle the opening of the bunker safely. There are some people, referred to as Ark Runners, who also risk their lives to find and enter new bunkers. Speculation on their sanity aside, many of the city’s innovations and knowledge have been supplied by Ark Runners.
There are several well known minor Arks near the city of Olympia. They are generally found in small neighborhoods; one is in what appears to have been a sports complex of some sort, and another beneath a crumbling mansion with the entrance covered in strange glyphs. This one has yet to be opened, as the LOSTech security has prevented access thus far.

Dangers
Bunkers have been found to contain a wide variety of dangers, from Horrors to booby traps. While many of the minor Arks are only protected by a simple locked door, sometimes unexpected dangers lurk within. Wild animals will occasionally make a den of an abandoned bunker, or a Horror may be hidden inside. Traps, both lethal and non-lethal, from tripwires and alarms to explosives, can be triggered once a bunker is entered. These hazards make entering a newly discovered bunker extremely dangerous. Locations
Ark Runners and Raiders are a secretive bunch. If they find a bunker, they tend to keep it to themselves to ensure any LOSTech, treasures, or resources remain theirs alone. Many Olympian Ark Runners will submit these to Zeus for a generous finder’s fee and for the good of the community. However, less scrupulous sorts use fences and underground Street Surgeons to utilize and sell LOStech taken from bunkers. There are several well known minor Arks near the city of Olympia.
