Raiders

From the perspective of Olympia, anyone who lives outside the walls of the grand city clearly has to be some form of wild person or Savage. The reality is that, for many folk out in the world, they are just trying to get by and rebuild their life in some manner that makes sense to them. Not so for the Raider Tribes, which is a catch all term for the often nomadic and predatory collection of people who have determined that the best way for them to recover any semblance of life from the ashes of the Ancient World was to prey on their fellow metahuman.   As a result, the tribes that have gone to Raiding can vary wildly given their ruggedly individualistic nature and are often warlike both internally and externally. Many such tribes exist as a flash in the pan – present for very little time until a larger tribe, settlement, or their own internal conflicts wipe them out. Very few, save the ones noted below, either have a strong enough base to last long enough, a solid enough system of internal ‘government’, or the fighting prowess to last much longer than a season or two.   The ones that remain, however, can be incredibly dangerous – and have in the past threatened the very walls of Olympia with their desire to get access to the wealth of technology that exists there – often ignoring the irony that they could simply cease their raiding ways and settle inside the city and become Olympians themselves.   But for people who have made their entire existence about their ability to be strong and take from the weak, following laws and rules and customs that are not their own hardly seem appealing.
