Wizard

Aṣé Unchained. Thought Refined. Reality Rewritten.
Unbound Wizards are scholars who perceive the hidden geometries of Aṣé, the cosmic flow of magical potential, and shape it not through rote spell slots but through precise rituals encoded into ever-changing tomes. They rely on intuition, calculation, and a deep understanding of a magical discipline they call their Primary School. Their mastery allows them to tear spells from their books, form scrolls, or empower effects in wild displays of insight.

(1st Level)

Aṣétome

A living Aṣé construct formed from your own spiritual essence and bound to your arcane knowledge and discipline. It manifests as a personalized, floating, semi-sentient manuscript, shaped by your magical path and animated by the unique resonance of your awakened Aṣé. You gain:

  • 4 pages of 1st-level spells at level 1
  • Pages are lost until your completing a Long Rest
  • when torn to create a scroll
  • on a failed Rtc.
  • You can also forcefully regain them by rewriting: 1 hour, 50gp × spell level of magic ink, and gain 1 level of exhaustion per spell level.
  • Primary Magic School (e.g., Abjuration, Transmutation): You gain the ability to cast spells from this school with +1 on your Roll to Cast.

Roll to Cast

When casting a spell, roll ad20:

RollEffect
1Mishap Table: Roll on the Magic Mishap Table
Below RtcLoss of spell: Until Long Rest or Arcane Recovery
Spell RtcSuccess: Spell functions as normal.
Over Spell RtcEmpowered: Spell casts at peak power. Gain an Empowered Effect based on subclass.

(Modifiers include Intelligence + Proficiency + situational bonuses like arcane focus, rituals, terrain, etc.)
