Battlemage

You have chosen to specialize in the manipulation of elemental Aṣé, shaping it into spells of raw, devastating force. The Embermind is not just a destructive force, they are a precise weapon, able to bend fire, ice, lightning, and force to the battlefield’s shape.

(3rd Level)

Sculpted Fury

You gain Spell Sculpting: When you cast an area-of-effect spell that requires a saving throw, you can choose a number of creatures equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1). These creatures automatically succeed on the saving throw and take no damage from the spell.

Additionally, you gain the ability to empower elemental Aṣé. When you cast a spell that deals fire, cold, lightning, thunder, or force damage and roll on the Roll-to-Cast table, you may reroll one die involved in the result (including failure/misfire/empowerment). You must use the second result.

Empowered Magic: Arcflash Surge

Once per turn, when you cast an evocation effect that deals damage, you may choose one of the following to apply:

  • Arcflash: Targets in a 10-foot radius of the primary target take lightning or fire damage equal to your Intelligence modifier.
  • Force Pulse: Pushes creatures hit by the spell 10 feet away if they fail a Strength save (DC = 8 + Proficiency + Int).
Overload: If your effect targets a single creature, you may reroll one damage die and use the new result.

Note: You can apply only one of these effects per turn.

(6th Level)

Aṣé Conductor

Once per turn when you deal elemental damage (fire, cold, lightning, thunder, or force) to a creature, you can choose to redirect a portion of that energy to another target within 10 feet of the original.

The secondary target takes damage equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1), of the same type.

Additionally, you gain resistance to one damage type from this list (your choice when you gain this feature): fire, cold, lightning, thunder, or force. You can change this choice whenever you complete a long rest.

(10th Level)

Aṣé Cascade

When you empower an evocation spell using the Roll-to-Cast table, choose one of the following cascade effects:

  • Surgefire: You deal extra damage equal to your Wizard level to one creature affected by the spell.
  • Reverberation: The spell echoes, applying half of its effect again at the start of your next turn in the same area or to the same target.
  • Shieldbreaker: If the spell damages a creature concentrating on a spell or behind a magical barrier, they roll concentration checks with disadvantage, and magical barriers (like wall of force) take double damage.
You may use a Cascade effect once per turn.

(14th Level)

Chronal Authority

Your presence anchors and warps the battlefield.

  • When you cast a spell of 3rd level or higher, choose one effect:
  • Stasis Field (15 ft radius centered on you): enemies move as if through difficult terrain until the end of your next turn.
  • Slipstream: an ally within 30 feet gains +10 movement speed and can take the Dash action as a reaction.
  • Backstep: instantly teleport to a position you occupied last turn (must be within 60 feet).

Once per long rest, you may cast time stop without expending a page or components.
