Solaris is now one year old, and what a year it has been! It's kind of hard to believe, it feels like it's both been no time at all, and like I've been working on this world for much, much longer. I'm so thrilled to have each and every one of you join me for this journey, and I hope you'll come with me on our second year too.
The Journey so far
In one year we have very close to 50 articles of worldbuilding! We've covered a lot of important ground, there's introductory articles up both for the world and for six out of the eight planets. While I've certainly had a lot of fun writing articles that weren't technically necessary but were very fun, I'm glad to have gotten a good amount of 'core' articles down to help make this world accessible to others.
The first article written for Solaris was Penumbra, while the article you have loved the most was Oasis. You have shown Solaris so much love, and I am deeply grateful for the support I recieve, be it loving cheerleading from the sidelines, likes and comments, or buying me a kofi.
Worldbuilding Awards
Earlier this year World Anvil announced that they'll be hosting the first ever Worldbuilding Awards, celebrating the work created on World Anvil in 2022. I sent Solaris in for the Best New World category, and I'm crossing my fingers.Best New World

What's next for Solaris?
My biggest goal is to simply keep at it. I hope to build the courage to dip my toes back into writing and drawing comics, but I am content with continuing to flesh out the world.
One of my goals this year was to start up a discord for Solaris. Art, fashion, poetry and media is a huge part of Solaris, and I would love to invite you along to experience some of it with me. Earlier this year we toured the Zium Garden, a digital 3D gallery, and I would love to do more things along those lines. If you're curious, come join us!
I've also been cooking up some guides on formatting and css. Not only is it useful for me to have something to reference, but it might teach you a trick or two too! I very much want to give back to the World Anvil community, and those embers of a Solaris community that I hope are building.

Really exited for you and your journey with Solaris!
Thank you so much!
