Antiquity
Jupiter was the shining star of antiquity and the classical era. The Jovian senate inspired democracies around the solar system, and many made worldly pilgrimages to the Commiterenean. Despite being the first planet Saturnian space-travellers made contact with, the te high gravity of the planet was a significant barrier. It made it unfeasible for Saturnians to land on Jupiter itself. Jupiter ended up being the last planet to join spaceflight. Technically Neptune was even later, and to some extent isn't really a spacefaring nation to this day (the colonies in the kuiper belt were largely staffed and populated with emigrants from triton)
Because of it's frequent auroral activity, and aided by a relatively low population, Jupiter made a tidy profit exporting aurorite. They would scour the surface for aurorite to sell.
