Location: Southeastern Aorlan

Geography: Gilsha is a picturesque region located on the extreme southeast coast of Aorlan.The land boasts a diverse geography, with gently rolling, rounded hills dominating the landscape. Open meadows with low growing trees and shrubs stretch far and wide, exuding a sense of quiet tranquility and serenity.

Gilsha's revival from the Great Cataclym's destruction is evident through the resurgence of wildflowers and flowering shrubs that now dot the land, adding vibrant splashes of color to the previously desolate terrain. New trees have begun to grow, thanks to the elves' nurturing care.

Climate: Gilsha's temperate features winters that are short and cool, with only rare snowfall. Summers are hot with intermittent intense thunderstorms rolling through during the afternoon hours. Adaquate precipitation falls throughout most of the year, and droughts are usually short and not too severe.

Wildlife: Antelopes and gazelles remain ever vigilant as they cross Gilsha in large herds. Their caution may save them as predators such as leopards, jackals, and hyenas lurk silently, waiting for a chance to catch a stray who wanders too far from the main herd.

Humanoids: The Valtauri elves of Linde Lothtaur have semi permanent patrols across much of the land. However, the danger is not entirely eradicated. Occasionally, the orcs of Kraal venture onto the south coast to establish outposts for launching pirate attacks against merchant ships. The elves maintain a watchful eye to counter this threat.

Bands of Varynn travel nomadically through Gilsha in their wagon trains during the warm summer months.

The land is also occupied by the Draelorin and Kitsune who are abominations created by the chaos storms of the Great Cataclysm. The Drailorin, human and antelope-like humanoids live in primitive nomadic tribes. The Kitsune, shape changing fox-like humanoids, live in protective underground dens. The elves, Varynn, Draelorins, and Kitsune, while mutually mistrustful, manage to maintain peaceful relations with each other.

Monsters: Despite its recovery, Gilsha remains a land that requires vigilance. Valtauri elves from Linde Lothtaur patrol the region diligently, keeping it relatively safe from the relentless onslaught of monstrous creatures that frequently emerge from the twisted lands of Vhoon. The Gulf of Shenn’valea helps with this endevour as it creates a formidable natural barrier to creatures that can't swim. The elves' protection ensures that Gilsha serves as a natural buffer between the elves forest abode and the treacherous, monster-filled ravaged lands of Vhoon to the south.

History: Before the Great Cataclysm, Gilsha was an enchanting paradise teeming with lush vegetation and a variety of wildlife. However, the cataclysmic event caused colossal tsunamis to ravage the land, resulting in widespread devastation. At this time, much of the flora and fauna perished, leaving Gilsha barren and desolate. Fortunately, the Valtauri elves from nearby Linde Lothtaur intervened, employing their magical prowess and exceptional botanical skills. Through their diligent efforts, they managed to restore much of Gilsha's beauty, transforming parts of it into a mesmerizing garden-like landscape. The only other humanoids that occasionally visit Gilsha are the nomadic Draelorin who the land each summer. These creatures form tribes and live off the land in a sustainable manner.

Today: Today, Gilsha stands as a wild but relatively safe land where its inhabitants haved achieved a balance with each other. Its captivating beauty and strategic location make it a cherished and protected land within Aorlan.
