Jineinoheiya

Many Peoples, One Nation

Before Akil and Asherah drove the dragons away from the lakes, what is now Jineinoheiya was called Shian Tor. According to the histories, the Shanese were much like the Yamans are now, which could not be farther from how Jineinoheiya is today. Today, there is a combination of Shianese, Narscillian, Gredoran, and Kilder that populate the nation. This can be seen more strongly in the country’s only city, Doragonreiku.   Despite Doragonreiku being the center of attention in Jineinoheiya, there is a rich culture in the countryside. Nomadic communities roam the grasslands in pursuit of herds of animals and many small fishing villages dot the perimeter of the Dragon Lakes. The International Trade Road flows straight through the middle of the country. Many small settlements exist along the road to care for travellers and make coin off trading with them.   The Shianese, Kilder, and Gredoran influences all intersect at the importance of each individual’s physical and martial prowess. It is considered a daily task for all Heiyans to exercise and train with weapons each day. Despite the increase in civilization in the grasslands, the wilderness is still dangerous. Perhaps even moreso in recent years.   Patrols of hunters, trackers, and warriors move from village to villate in an attempt to keep them safe from especially dangerous prey. Being a patrolman is one of the most dangerous jobs one could have in Jeneinoheiya, but it comes with an enormous amount of respect from the people.   From the Kilder and Gredoran influences, Jineinoheiya has a very large and structured standing military force. Fortresses dot the countryside and are always stationed with soldiers. A military career is a common one in the country, especially since it is fairly likely each soldier will never see combat.
