Kinzan
Demographics
Kinzan is mosly Heiyan with a few Kilder traders having set up a permanent outpost in the settlement. In recent years, a caravan of Rathi have made their home in Kinzan so that they may pray to Zaquiel at his resting place.
Those in Kinzan revere Zaquiel, but pray mostly to Remph, the Aspect of Time.
Government
Wardens of the Purifying Fire: a council of elders who preside over Zaquiel's Lifeduct.
Defences
Star Vault: a compact but defensible fortress where the town's gems, gold, and jewelry are kept. Some of the most elite Heiyan and Gredoran mercenaries keep watch here, lead by a graduate of Academia Dracos.
Industry & Trade
Jeweler's Market: There is a lot of wealth in Kinzan due to their high quality jewelry trade. Most weeks, caravans of traders will visit the town to barter for and buy the goods of the town.
Architecture
Zaquiel's Life Duct: a two hundred foot tall ring of stone engraved with runes to keep Zaquiel in his prison. The people of Kinzan revere Zaquiel as the ultimate adjudicator of purity. They offer him gold and jewels, and if they are not pure, Zaquiel releases his fire to cleanse them of their impurities, leaving the highest quality material in the world behind. If he is offered something wholly pure, he accepts it, and instead releases the purest water to the people there. Recently, Kinzan has had trouble with more and more Fenrir immigrants. They have a nasty habit of throwing themselves into the purifying fire. Of course none of them survive.
