Ašðïan War
The Ašðïan War, also known as the Sadian War or the Second Khólteðtian War, was a major conflict within the Khólteðian Wars. It was the second major conflict behind the Ýïrúl War and served as its continuation, involving the tribes of Šïbha-Ýïr, Ýbašý-Ýïr, Irðar-Ýïr, and Ërëšð-Ýïr, but eventually became dominated by the extreme violence and unrestrained brutality of the two tribes of Ašëð-Ýïr and Hfašð-Ýïr.
Etymology
This conflict is named after the 'šð' affix that was attached to its most dominant participations. The affix itself is a product of the Ïwë-Khólteð system of affixes, which were able to modify an existing word with a whole host of different meanings. The 'šð' affix notoriously meant 'violent' or 'with violence', but by the time of the Crisis this had ballooned into excessive and/or compulsory violence, almost always to an extreme degree.
History
Prelude: The Ýïrúl War
Main Article: Ýïrúl War
The Ašðïan War is best understood within the context of the Ýïrúl War, which was a similarly-violent conflict between the five tribes of Këhóš-Ýïr, Ýbašý-Ýïr, Irðar-Ýïr, Šïbha-Ýïr, and Ërëšð-Ýïr. Although it began as a regional conflict solely between the former two tribes, it would soon move to a highly contentious area that was the point at which all five border lines crossed.
