Khlúkúrmïr
The Khlúkúmïr (lit. the guardian of the cliffs) was the leadership role of the tribe of Këhóš-Ýïr. Created during the early days of the Ýïrúl War, it served to replace the informal and never-formally-designated role of king that was occupied by Ðrhuvëškal during the Crisis of 24982 AYM, although the exact powers and limitations of the Khlúkúrmïr were not defined until nearly half a year after it was initially created. Its main royal regalia, for which it is well-known, is a set of rings that were worn by the ruler at various points along their body to signify their position as well as their current actions and objectives.
Prelude: Reign of Ðrhuvëškal
For Historians, the Khlúkúrmïr is simultaneously one of the most comprehensively studied yet least understood governance positions in the entirety of the Khólteðian Wars. This is primarily due to the lack of information discussing Ðrhuvëškal, the leader and founder of the Këhóšians during the Crisis, who was almost certainly the inspiration for a large part of the Khlúkúrmïr's powers and style of rulership. This is indcated most poignantly by the large swath of writing, passed down through generations, that recount, among others, likely-apocryphal tales of Ðrhuvëškal and his actions during the Crisis in relation to the Khlúkúrmïr.
The few sources on Ðrhuvëškal's life describe his style of rule as being involved in all aspects of civil and military life; various roles include that of a diplomat, judge, general, and strategist. Overall, however, the means of power were barely defined and highly informal, as exemplified by his seat of power being placed at the roof of his own house. The populace of Këhóš-Ýïr nonetheless remained loyal to him, and these sources indicate anywhere from 30 to 55 separate military engagements being conducted under his direction. These military engagements mainly involved the other Arðor-Kýï, mainly those formed before Ulta-Eimarae (that is, the First-Phase Kýïan Tribes), which were all located to the southwest. These Tribes aimed to takeover the Ëzó-Rhažóval, the Familial seat of Power, which was located in the extreme northeast of the Family territory.
As the Second Phase of the Crisis occurred, the rest of the Kýïan Tribes formed to the northeast of Këhóš-Ýïr. Mostly targeting the Ëzó-Rhažóval, they barely targeted the Këhóšians, but as the situation devolved into chaos (around the events of the Battle at the Palace and the brief lull of relative peace around the Ceasefire of Zïlëŋý), the Këhóšians found themselves surrounded by hostile forces. Ðrhuvëškal himself would slowly deteriorate in health as these battles intensified, and mere days before the end of the Crisis in 15 Geta-Eimarae, he would die in battle, leaving the seat of Këhóš-Ýïr empty. The tribe would remain without a leader for the entire journey of the Family, which led them to the Tayzem Desert and immediately preluded the Ýïrúl War, the first conflict of the Khólteðian Wars.
