Visca-2

Discovered in NE-1360 shortly after Science Directorate identified its parent star thousands of light years outside the galactic rim. As its name implies, Visca-2 occupies the 2nd orbit around Visca, firmly inside the habitable zone. While conditions make the presence of life here unsurprising, the planet is a rare host to complex, multi-cellular organisms.

Ecosystem

Complex multicellular alien ecosystem, carbon based. Life here has had eons of time to evolve, with origins apparently predating that of Earth life by around a billion years.

Climate

-88 to +61

Fauna & Flora

Complex multicellular alien ecosystem, carbon based. Life more developed than Earth life.

History

Appeared thousands of light years ouside the galaxy with the rest of the Visca system in 1221. Within the year, long range scans from sensor stations in deep space produced a relatively detailed analysis of the system. These scans revealed the second orbiting planet was in possession of complex alien life, and the system itself was nearly 6 billion years old.
