Collosos

--COLLOSOS--   An otherworldly monster of the depths, the 30m long Collosos inhabits the deep trenches of the ocean. As a cephalopod like creature, the Collosos possesses 6 barbed tentacles which it uses to entrap prey. Captured prey are dragged towards the mouth, where a specialized tentacle injects them with a highly corrosive acid meant to externally digest. After the prey has been sufficiently digested, they are lowered into the Collosos' gaping mouth and swallowed to begin the next process of digestion. Collosos are an apex predator of the ocean, though they do not share the same habitat as the Deep Leviathan and therefore do not compete. Occasionally however, an deep leviathan will accidentaly stray too close to an ocean trench, where it will be dragged down into the darkness to meet an unfortunate end.   (BOSS ENEMY)   Upon entering the boss room, the player will see a faint glow amongst the darkness of the cavern. Once they get closer a cutscene activates the player flashlight, where the Collosos is revealed. The creature will slowly send its tentacles towards you, which must be shot in order to have them retract. The players goal is to get close to the Collosos and shock its specialized digestion tentacle, rendering the monster stunned, during which period you must cut off its main tentacles. After a tentacle is cut the monster exhales a jet stream at you from its mouth, blowing you to the back of the room. Once the 6 tentacles are cut, the Collosos retreats back into a large crevice, rendering it defeated. If at any point in the fight a tentacle catches the player, it drags you towards the mouth where you are attacked by the acidic tentacle. This does damage for 6 seconds then releases you and blows you back. If this happens 3 times however, you are simply dragged into its mouth and killed.   note: inspired by collosal squid
