Ada Rosenrune

While the Lunatic Cry did cause the vast majority of fully powered Werewolves to turn feral and start killing anyone they came across to serve their Goddess Leto, there were a few who had strong enough wills to defy her. Ada Rosenrune was the third daughter of Klaus, the leader of the Wolfhelm Clan, and the eighth child overall. She had no path to ever take control of the clan, at least until the The Werewolf Riots of 1942.

Ada was the only one in her family who didn't seem to lose her mind and while the event was happening, she assisted the Axis Powers with putting down numerous feral werewolves. Ada was with the German army in the Black Forest in October 1942 when the Allied Forces sent commandos to take down the Goddess Leto. Ada, instead of fighting, assisted them in reaching the Citadel of Feldberg and defeating Leto. She then helped the Anagi Vampires remove the body and take it away from Continental Europe.

After the War, the Allies recognized Ada's support in taking down the goddess and allowed the Wolfhelm Clan to maintain some influence in Central Europe, though vastly reduced from their original lands. Ada took advantge of this and slowly built the clan back up. Since the Wolfhelms are in an alliance with the Anagi, she had easy access to Leto's dormant body, and all the god-blood she would ever need. With it, she was able to broker deals with all other Werewolf Clans and become the dominant power when it comes to such matters.

While Ada resisted the effects of Leto and only gained an absurd amount of power from it, the same cannot be said of any of her children: Adrian (born 1943), Agnes (1948), Conrad (1954), Felix (1961), William (1995), Iris (2001), and Zachary (2007). Five of her children went through the Bloodright of Leto and were overcome by the Lunatic Cry. Four of them were put down after they failed to ever overcome their madness. Of the three that remain, Iris was being contained at a facility in Munich and William refused to do the ritual then was excommunicated from the Clan, leaving Zachary as the only one left.

Werewolves have a long lifespan, if they did the ritual, and Ada is a patient woman. She has already outlived four of her children, is fully willing to have more, and will have her heir eventually. There are rumors that she has been experimenting with a way to quell the Lunatic Cry in future Werewolves that do the ritual, though the exact details of this experiment are currently known only to her and a few trusted advisors in her inner circle.
