Tonvera
Tonvera is a multi-racial country in Ixar, in the north of Agetia continent.
the city of Bayford is the capital.
Tonvera is a feudal state where land belongs to the hierarchy of nobility. The Great Lord of Tonvera is at the top of hierarchy. There is a meritocratic component, however, to the selection process of the potential land owners. They need to demonstrate economic and leadership acumen, be visible for the service to the community, including military achievements. At the same time, a lot depends on loyalty to the crown and relationship with the liege lord above.
Economy is based on mercantilism where the entrprises are maximising their exports and minimizing imports. There are high import tariffs on goods. The lordships are competing with each other and with the rest of the world. However, there is a socialist streak within the feudal communities - the lord is expected to organize the commoners in a way that all their basic needs are met.
Culture
Tonverans are undiscriminating and accepting of all cultures and beliefs. Tonverian culture is individualistic and driven by self-interest.
They are composed and driven by sense of propriety.They believe in tried and trusted approaches to life, and creative problem solving and risk-taking is not their best suit.
