Gods of Ingia
At the start of time, there were 3 children who would scamper and play along the world tree. The first; Heaven, who preferred to sit among the Great Tree's branches, the second; Abyss, who liked to dig among its deepest roots, and the third; Ingia. who preferred to keep towards its center. As the three grew older they eventually settled down, their energy spreading out and eventually creating the three core realms. The youngest became the lower realms, the Abyss and the Hells, deep within the roots. The eldest became the Heavens, high amongst the leaves, and Ingia became the Material plane; nestled between them all. As they settled into their older age they began to create children, Ingia creating the elementals. But as her children played and ran through their mothers domain, they began to be visited by wandering spirits from beyond the stars wishing for more. Love, creation, adventure or peace, they all shared a desire to create something new. Ingia welcomed these spirits into her home and together they created animals, plants, Ingia created new children in the form of nature sprites.
For a time things were well, but things began to sour as the children of her younger siblings began to push into her domain more and more. She watched over the decades as demons and devils tore through her lands and slaughtered her children, until 1206 years ago when she finally snap and with all the energy she had banished the fiends from her lands, locking off the outer realms from her own. While this gate was imperfect, it was at least powerful enough to keep greater fiends away. After doing so, however, she was deeply drained and fell into a deep slumber; one that she has never completely awoken from.
