Hala

The Sky Weaver

Chromatic maiden, the vibrant one, the sky weaver

Elder daughter of the sky, Hala is the goddess of dawn, dusk, art and color. She carries messages between her parents and watches over their exchange as they swap places; painting the sky in vibrant colors as a gift both to her parents as one goes to rest and to the world at large as the night shifts to day, and vice versa. It is said that she uses the weavings and paintings offered to her as inspiration for the next time she pains the sky.

Holidays

As the last month of skyfall comes the Sky Weaver is honored by the masses. Artisans gather in the street selling their wares and towns are draped in colorful ribbons and tapestries. People get decorated in colorful makeup and face paints and take to the streets in droves. In larger scale celebrations you can find multiple group projects; like canvases that people are encouraged to paint on or weaving projects where people are asked to bring strips of material or thread and add it to the project. At the end of the night any public projects are taken to any place dedicated to Hala and displayed on it, usually until the next Weavelight.
