Oen
The Final King
An often quiet and distant god, but whether that is by choice or by mortal distance is unknown. Oen, the final king, is a powerful and fierce but stoic figure of the pantheon. Watching over kingdoms and rulers from afar until the rumblings of conflict begin to rise as he rises with it.
The final king has the most scattered perception among mortals. Some view him as a frightening and wrathful being who should not be invoked unless you wish to call destruction to your home. Others see him as a righteous arbiter of justice and peace, ensuring that the abused can rise above their abusers. Some claim he only wants violence while others actually call him 'He of bloody peace'.
The name 'The Final King' Comes from a rhyme about Oen;
Kings may rise, and lords may rule,
new leaders rise against the cruel,
but when all is dark and the birds don't sing,
there will only be one final king
They rhyme means to remind the reader that all power is temporary and no king will rule forever. No matter how prideful or powerful a ruler they are still mortal, and all ends eventually. This rhyme is often written above shrines to Oen and the phrase 'There will only be one final king' is widely used as a saying to warn against hubris.
