Book 7: Wind, Chapter 20: The Fortress and the Disease Report
General Summary
The party makes a deal with Laurel, asking her to help thin Neox's forces, find the lost stones and the location of Neox's generals. The party then went into the fort to assess how bad things were. An emaciated and tired Raine greeted them in the infirmary, before collapsing on Rao's shoulder. Adala began repairs and upgrades on the ship, and Carmicle gave the party a book of poetry that might lead them to some hints on where to find the stone. All was well until a new Ghost appeared with a unit of Maneran and Undrician soldiers to take back the fort. The party got ready to fight this new threat, not knowing she was far beyond what they had fought before.
