Wiegen

The Wiegen are a people of tradition raised in pantheistic worship and tribalism and are known to be one of the most reclusive and peculiar ethnic group in Meithos. The Wiegen are comparable to the Gothic Tribes of the of late 300s AD. Like the Visoke that neighbored them, the Ancient Wiegen were tribalistic, and crude in their traditions, but they were aggressive in their approach to warfare. This was until they were subdued by the Dwarven kingdom of Osman, and became vassals to principality as the king was overthrown by the reigning king of the kingdom of Osman. As per their tradition they owed their lives to the Osmans and lived among them, adapting to their ways and philosophies putting aside their pagan traditions for the honorable traditions of the Osmans. However in the Chaos they were not allowed to seek refuge in the mountains with the Osmans and were left to defend and even become servants and slaves to the onslaught of the Dimensional races. This has caused those of indirect Wiegen descent in the present who don't identify the culture to hold resentment against the Dwarves for dishonoring the trust they had in them. However there are still Wiegeners who remain loyal to the Kingdom of Marnia, those remained loyal lived among them in in the Reclamation and now live among them in the present.
