Oli

The Olis in the grand timeline perspective are the direct descendants of the Ancient Meithans being the first to settle in the Feilen River Valley and the worshipers of the Watchers. A kingdom of tribes was established with the faith as its foundation with oracles being the chosen leaders of the gods. However, in the beginning of the Nomadic age when they fully settled in the valley, a great schism occurred among them, which followed a build up of heresy and disagreements of the faith. With this a war raged between tribes and the Tribe of Talis won the free for all. The chieftain then established a settlement in the name of the Watcher Gilmeer as a monument to those who died for their faith in him. Those who were opposed were given amnesty for their heresies as an attempt to prolong the brotherhood of the tribes. For the rest of the Nomadic age the the Kingdom of the Fallen prevailed and expanded greatly under the leadership of the line of kings that ruled the valley with benevolence, integrity, and ambition. However in the middle of the Age of Iron, the Grand Oracle, protested against the Kings decree's of religious practices claiming him to be phasing out the authority of the High One, another name for Vaal. And with the speeches that the charismatic Oracle, Gaelen, made, he swayed the masses and by the end of the Age of Iron he convinced the heir of the kingdom to step down, or so his advisors told the public, however the heir to the king wasn't seen again ever since. Gaelen was crowned king by popular vote and not long after he showed his true colors. The people of the Olis view the Iron Age as a time of moral decline as a proclaimed oracle of the cloth, turned the kingdom into an empire and expanding the empire ever more aggressively. This very act put into question nations foundation, supposedly being in Vaalenism, and with the questioning the Kingdom became a militaristic society, and turned despotic. An anonymous figure in modern day, and a great warrior according to the legends stood against the rule of the king and raised a fyrd and raided castle. He along with others were brutally killed but succeeded in exposing the nature of the king turning officials and the people of the kingdom against him. All provinces seceded from and declared war on the king however with discovery of arceenergy, the weaponization of it escalated as well. Eventually the War of Nations came to a stand still as the council of elders attempted to force King Gaelen to surrender with the threat of a Great Weapon that would eradicate his fortress. This was countered however, by King Gaelen hinting an even more powerful weapon saying that "This will change the world forever, subjecting all life into suffering..." This promise was a non-other than a prophecy to the Waking. No one knew what it was at the time, but citizens of the kingdom at the time refused to stand down. Another anonymous figure of mysterious origin, with great bravery and struggle managed to assassinate the king and end his rule, which led to another great bout of blood shed. 3 years before the Waking. The former king's sympathizers who deified him, under his final orders. Traveled the world and established "research keeps" covering every corner of Grathos. And by the 3rd year those keeps opened gates to realms beyond the Mythos causing a dimensional incursion that would warp reality, life, society and culture forever. The Olis being caught in the middle of rebuilding the kingdom were almost wiped out by the end of the 1300 years following, with survivors of the onslaught from the invaders, hiding underground. Those who didn't, attempted to take back the kingdom in vain for the next 200 years and by the end of the struggle those who fought died bravely and but forgotten. The next 200 years, the Olis sealed the doors to the surface, and while that happened the prevailing incursion cultures died as a plague of unknown origin caused them to disappear from the continent hindering them from settling on the land in doing so. In the Age of Reclamation, the Oli's resurfaced and for a period formed small settlements across the land over the ruins of ancient of settlements. The challenges of faced in reclaiming the land were dire as they had to clear out remaining desperate wildlife, anomalies of the arcane, and even other races that survived the virus. These included all manner of monsters that still roamed the lands. Oli's were able to lay the foundation of a new kingdom under a new banner with a new king, called the Kingdom of Falruin, a combined wording of the fallen kingdom before it. Ever since the Oli's maintain a culture of ambition and persistence but also industry advancement and knowledge of the arcane persists but under a tight grip of regulation over the masses, which some say to be oppressive and reminiscent of the centuries before the incursion.
