Sansur

The Sansurian people are one of the most mysterious to most other Meithan Cultures, but is one of the most influential, but small demographics. Arriving on the shores of an island in the middle of the ocean west of Meithos, a group people became stranded. These people are believed to be fishers who roamed the uncharted waters. They settled, subsisting on the nature of the island for the next 800 years, until eventually regained contact with the Valan people. Because of the Valans peaceful impression at the time, they welcomed them to their society and mingled with each other for decades, however as the Valans became power hungry by the end of the Ironclad Age, the Sansur distanced themselves and swore to preserve the knowledge of the world from then on being one of the first to record history for Meithan culture. They kept to themselves and established a great city from then on becoming a monastic city state based on their religion. The tenets of this religion is a peaceful one putting knowledge first above power. A well kept secret in their society was how they survived the Age of Chaos. A mystery yet to be revealed in their boundless libraries.
