Irithel

Irithel used to be a land between countries that was safe to cross through if you knew someone. Now, it's a ghost town, with burned buildings, rotting structures and moss trying to overtake stone. Unless the Guantlet is taking place, then it somewhat lives again, although not like it used to.

Defences

The forrest to the West and the Mountains to the East acted as natural defences to most forces, and the North and South were dificult to traverse as a large group/army.

Industry & Trade

The town had thrived on tourism and merchants comming and going. It had created a school for magic and a training academy as well, so those were good for neighboring towns interested in investing in their own people.

Districts

There used to be the merchant's circle, the small business district, the nobility and the scholars.

History

Irithel came to be when one of the Verndari clan found the river that doesn't change within the Mysterious Forrest. From there, it became essential to keep trade from Fowda and Ambisie alive so the economy would flourish instead of stutter.
Verndari's learned the tricks of the trade and became essential to crossing through the forrest without getting lost, and so they decided to start up a trading post that grew and grew to what it was back in 1860 when Xylon Verndari was head of the town and Alessandra Verndari was at his side.
Then one night, there was a raid.
No one was prepared, and all who lived in the town perished. It was thought that both children, Leonhard Verndari and Delilah Verndari, also died in the fires of their family manor.
