Night time Visitors

After having gone through 3 brutal mini trials in one trial of the gauntlet, Leonhard, Godfrey, Laura, Victrix, and Sindri are exhausted. Charlie, Trixi, and Mialee came to congratulate them on surviving, and commented that they need a bath.

A make shift jacuzzi hot tub was crafted using mold earth, create water, and Sindri's mace. There was some fog conjured and Charlie added some dancing lights as she got food ready for dinner.

Some Tieflings and Dwarves attempted to come up to the party in the hot tub and intimidate them, but Sindri, Leonhard, Trixi, and Laura were having none of that and decided to give it back to them. Laura went as far as throwing her axe at their feet.

More team members of the neighboring teams joined the hot tub, bringing food and drink to the cook pot that Charlie was tending to join together. The hot tub needed to be made bigger a few times, and a smaller one was crafted for the animals next to the main jacuzzi too.

Mialee was able to sit and talk with James, the half-orc that's caught her eye for the last few days. Trixi found herself a black dragonborn fighter named Aspen to keep company for the night and some conversation. Serena and Talia, from Madame Ruby's, made their way over as well to talk with Victrix. Serena stayed by his side for the night, while Talia found herself beside Sindri and critiquing the battle prowess of everyone around them. Sindri offered her some drink from his never-ending alcohol flask, and she was all over him.

Laura was content to enjoy idle chitchat with those around her and the hot tub itself. Godfrey enjoyed the waters and being with all the animals. Leonhard was found by a couple of young orcs/half-orcs that were curious about this town and what it used to be, along with how the gauntlet used to be different too.

As the night was winding down, Mialee took James to bed in the woods, Trixi and Aspen were in the buggy, and Victrix took Serena back to Madame Ruby's. Talia was sloshed, and Sindri took her to his tent to sleep it off and left Belial to gaurd.

In the early hours of the morning, Leonhard was making his way back to the campsite from the river and the camp itself was sleeping. Dwarves had sneaked around the camp, finding the different tents that the party members were sleeping in and going to the horses tied to the buggy.

All at once, quite a few things happened. Belial warded off and then immediately went after the dwarf that got too close to Talia in Sindri's original tent, another dwarf grievusly wounded Laura in her sleep and Rain stung him making him fall unconsious, a different dwarf had attempted to land a blow to Godfrey but missed and instead hit Gertha who was sleeping under him - Bertha pinned this dwarf as they were running away, and two other dwarves had attempted to take Archer, Chief, and Valor from the buggy - and were severely trampled under horse hooves. Sindri was awoken by Belial's roar, came out of the tent butt naked and started alerting the rest of the teams at the training grounds by hitting his shield with his mace. Trixi and Aspen made their way out of the buggy, Trixi healed up Gertha and then went over to Laura to take care of her injury too, just as Laura removed the head from the body of the dwarf that injured her. Mialee and James heard the commotion from the woods and used mould earth to essentially tunnel them to the middle of this mess (near the cookpot) and she cast Daylight so that all could see. Leonhard finally made his way to camp and he took charge, telepathically calling for the party members to gather the dwarves involved and throwing them in the middle.

Victrix was still with Serena at this time, and decided it best to stay there in case any of those same asailants were going to try and follow to Madame Ruby's.

By this time, every team was awake and comming to see what the commotionn was. Many members of the different teams were in various states of dress, some weilding weapons and armor, but most in night clothes with smaller side arms. Leonhard telepathically asked for Gelda and Sheera to create a perimeter around the camp site, to encompass all the teams essentially. None of the members of the party were please, and most in fact were fuming mad. Charlie finally made her way to the area where the dwarves were being held, thanks to a javelin through the shoulder of one of them curtesy of Sindri. Leonhard begain questioning the dwarves, who's in charge, who else was involved, etc. The dwarves on the ground were attempting to say that the dead dwarf was the leader, but Trixi's keen eyes caught one of them staring at a dwarf from where the rest of the teams had gathered and picked them up by their shirt to be brought in front of Leonhard.

Soon enough, the dwarf he was interrogating falls unconsious from being suffocated and he turns his attention the this supposed ring leader. The rest of the dwarves and tieflings that were involved are all pushed to the front to be dealt with, and Leonhard speaks with Gelda and Tairn, one of the dragonborn clans' leaders about the consequences. Typically, back in the day, a transgression like this meant being forced into the guantlet weaponless and armorless to face the worst it has to offer it. Gelda firmly stated that to allow them into the gauntlet now would be a disgrace, and they do not deserve a death from a place of glory in battle. Eventually, Bob and some of the others who are responsible for putting the Guantlet on finally made their way over to see what is going on.

Explanations having been given, and the severity of what occured, leads Bob to deferring judgement to Leonhard as the only one in Irithel to have a claim as to what the justice should be. Laura gave her opinion that in regards to Tanontem having them die by Charlie's swords (Vendetta) would be justified, and every leader here acting as a court satisfies what is needed. As Charlie went to each individual that was involved in this little operation, she gave them a rather precise cut where their arm meets their torso (for Laura's injury) or a cut to the thigh (for Gertha's injury) and Sindri would follow behind to read them their last rights each, as was his duty for his oath.

With those directly responsible for the ire of the party dispatched, their clans remain, and what to do with them. Gelda believes that the remaining members of the tieflings and dwarves should be thrown into the gauntlet to earn their redemption for the shame that their members have disgraced them with. This would set the rest of the teams back a day for the gauntlet, but this would be acceptable in her eyes. Tairn believes these clans should be disqualified entirely and shunned. Trixi had the idea that they should be disqualified for today and the next few years to come, however with Mialee's knowledge and book access she was able to determine that in the past if there was a disqualification like this, they would likely be killed later anyways due to the lawless nature of Fowda.

It was decided that they would be forced into the gauntlet with no weapons, and to allow for the training grounds magic to recharge they must wait - and so were all shuttled to the run down barracks with members of the other teams taking shifts to watch them.

Aspen was allowed to stay with Trixi for the rest of the night (Trixi asked Tairn nicely) and James was allowed to stay with Mialee (when Gelda asked him why, James responded that he's honor bound to protect her since he was with her).
