She escaped the fires of the Verndari Villa because she had previously snuck out of the house to meet with someone at the boat house nearby, a boy her parents didn't approve of. By the time she was back to the home the fires were already consuming the grounds, and those that were responsible were slaughtering any who came near - if there was anyone left. No magic could stop what was happening, a field of Anti-Magic permeated the air. Delilah was once a sorcerer, but the fruitless attempts caused magical exhaustion that left her unable to use magic ever again.
Delilah is seen as the current champion of Asaze, Goddess of Greed, amassing a wealth that can rival some prominent figures in both Fowda and Ambisie. Most of her possessions are priceless artifacts, paintings, statues, jewelry, gems and rare magical artifacts as well.
She is responsible for cutting down many that have opposed the High King Gethrow Novak, those that have attempted to secretly kill him rather than honorably challenge him. She is not an advisor, but that is one of her personas. She has been able to slip past assailants, guards, and even make her most successful kills be touted as natural cause deaths.
