World Tree
Creation Lore
In the endless silence of the great nothing, came a sound. A sound in which all things were made in the form of a sapling’s triad. Great and terrible spread the boughs of the world tree, Etes H'evelm, nourished from the making and unmaking of all. The infinite nature of the chasm of Va’naqra spilled chaos into the great veins of what was to be. So forth the tree stretched aimless arms, a triplet in existence. For the first birth heralded the beginning of the world forger, connector and ender. From the chasmic nothing, Va’naqra birthed a triad. The serpent Oloris, ravenous of hunger. The arachnid Nerisys, of ceaseless toil, and the Drake Naezeiros from whom the designs of Etes H'evelm sprang forth, the ancient boughs built by Celestials. The serpent Oloris, coiled about the base of the maker’s toil. Seeking endlessly to choke life from the tree of worlds. Seperate from her brother of opposition, the Queen Arachnid spread silk about the boughs. For she sought the endless connections of all worlds. In this there would be a true end, in which all color would spill together in a cacophony of existence that would spell doom, in the end of days. Lastly, the great Dragon Naezeiros, from whom the loneliness of the worlds emptied, and the unsounded was spoken. The maker of all worlds. Upon whose magnanimous edict, the unsounded murmur of the chasm filled the worlds of his toil. From it, descended his proclamations, binding the world to the rules he had plucked from wisdom of the endless. With his utterance, swirling eddies of energy sprung like dew into the threads of the Laka. The unfounded chaos of timelessness, pouring into the mold of his vision to shape each world. In the endless lattice of the lines of Laka, came the many gods of each aspect of the world. Each tasked to safeguard a fragment of reality. The new world had begun, governed by subjectless gods of aspects not yet made from ephemeral to tangible, filled with a silence that was not to last. Queen Nerisys the restless spun her webs between realms, filling between the great boughs of Etes H'evelm with glistening threads. Magic dripped like venom from her creation, slipping into each empty world, filling them with her dark promise of the end of the eternal. Seeing his worlds fall victim to this poison, the Maker snapped out his all-embracing wings, and set the Laka alight with shivering power of his own, magic filling each world to the brim, pouring into the empty worlds in the form of flora and crystals. Each creation, composed of a single note of the lyric. Each wave of his effort set the leaves of Etes H’evelm to dance. The sound became a melody. The first song had begun, filling all worlds with melodies of separate tones, as each bough of Etes H’evelm shuddered uniquely under the praise of the maker. A murmur to end all silence, formed by voices unsounded along the ambivalent Laka. With none but the triad to hear it, the creator was Displeased. In his displeasure, he sought forth to end the loneliness in the worlds, and brought forth children of his own. Each tasked with the balance of the new songs, and the lives that would soon hear them. But the maker was not yet finished with his task. The Maker called forth his children, and the gods. Upon each, he tasked the molding of a creature in their aspect of the Laka. A scant few notes emerged from Sheyr, the world song, bowing low unto their maker.Structure
(This section is not common knowledge)As the name implies, the World Tree is a ginormous tree that sits on a piece of land just big enough to contain it and the world serpent that sleeps at its base. Around the tree are various planes. (Side view then Top view).

Planes
The Prime Materia
The Prime MateriaThe main world upon which mortals dwell. Here, magical and deific influences are far less pronounced than on the other planes, making it oftentimes serve as a battleground between various interplanar factions. The second-largest plane, it is only dwarfed in size by Niwaedau, and, since most don't even know that that place exists, it is generally presumed to be the largest. It is also here where the majority of your time on HorizonRP will be spent, and it is the plane that most resembles the earth that we live on.
The Demonic Steppes
The Demonic SteppesWhere Demons, the primary doers of inter-planar destruction, live. Blood-red planes under a scorched and smog-filled sky, where fires burn high and the screams of demon's captives, or other demons, are as common as birdsong. A quite literally hellish place, home of all but a select few demonic beings.
The Celestial Conclave
The Celestial ConclaveWhere Celestials, the primary doers of inter-planar creation, live. Angelic choirs, golden palaces, sunny skies, and clouds replacing the ground are the most prominent features of the conclave. Typically concerned with preserving order and "good," no matter the cost, the Celestials make great allies and even worse enemies. Most, bar a select few, originate from this plane.
The Elements
The ElementsOne of the lesser-visited planes of creation, this one is equaled partitioned between the various elemental lords, and is made of the pure concentrations of each of their elements. For example, the land of Ralios, the fire lord, is nothing but an eternal inferno, making it inhabitable for anything that can not live in an environment that solely consists of fire. Thus, the elements don't often get visitors, due to the fact that for most beings it is impossible to survive there.
The Faerie Wonderland
The Faerie WonderlandThe Faerie Wonderland is home to Fey and Near-Fey. The sky is constantly in a state of night, with the moon and stars covering all. This is quite irrelevant, as this is almost always overpowered by the thick bioluminescence, trippy glowing waves of vision-inducing storms, and general magical light that overtakes the floor. It is composed of four regions that represent the seasons, Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn each lead by a lord. For example, the Winter Court is ruled by Lord Yrauos - Whisperer of Reflections.
Mevvet
Mevvet"Where do we go when we die" is a question that, for most, is answered with this dimension. A plane with a troubled past, the previous caretaker of Mevvet was violently overthrown by his underlings, in exchange for the installment of a new leader. Nonetheless, it still, for the most part, continues to satisfy its function, namely the recycling of all the souls that enter its domain.
The Grand Hoard
The Grand HoardPractically an inter-dimensional locker, the Grand Hoard is used by creations' most powerful inhabitants (typically one sort of divine or another) as a place to store things. This could be wealth, trinkets, artifacts, books, tomes, or even the souls of their most devout servants (or, more realistically, the souls of their most powerful and competent servants). This is the place that those individuals who are not sent to Mevvet when they die go, to be kept as a plaything by one god or another, although they typically enjoy a life in paradise when they are not being used.
Niwaedau
NiwaedauAn inter-planar backdrop, not many know of its existence, let alone how it was created. A plane where things just don't work the same way they work in other parts of the universe, Niwaedu oftentimes defies the laws of physics, creation, and much more to an extent that earns the chaos plane its nickname. Its inhabitants are alien, terrifying, and sometimes reality-breaking, although most are, thankfully, mindless. There are rumors of darker beings that lurk on the plane's edges, although no being, no matter who or what they are, has ever been able to check and then return to tell the world.
Misc.
The Alkestis
The AlkestisWhile most do ask the question of "Where do we go when we die," they don't often ask "How do we 'get' to where we go when we die." The answer to that is the Alkestis. An inter-planar ship crewed only by the mysterious entity known as The Ferryman, its primary purpose is to collect, and then deliver, the souls of the dead, no matter where they died. How it does this is a mystery, and likely one that will never be answered until the end times.
Primordial Dream
Primordial DreamThe Primordial Dream [also referred to as The Enigma] is simply a metaphysical dimension that lies present in between the gaps in the multiple planes. It is the collective consciousness for all who fall unconscious and dream. It is a place not fixed in time, and yet is an infinite expanse that holds together a raw essence and acts as a cycle for how magical energy circles throughout the worlds.
The Void
The VoidThe Void is everything in between the planes. Most of it is just dark, inky, empty blackness. There are, however, in its infinite abyss, a variety of some strange creatures, most of which never see much of anything at all. There are also rumors of other, more ancient and terrifying entities, although their existence has yet to be confirmed by anything besides strange, watered-down rumors.
