The Tyrant

(The contents of this page are NOT common knowledge)
"For once I shall agree with the Prophet. The complete destruction of mankind will lead to a stagnate world that will slowly bleed itself dry. Therefore, let us ally together this once, protect the mortals this time, and when they can take care of themselves, we shall all return to our own devices."
— The Tyrant, First Meeting of the Mortal Gods

Preamble

The Tyrant is the deity seeing over the dominions of Chaos, and Duality who focuses on preventing a stagnant world and believes in order in chaos. The Tyrant rarely gets involved in the affairs of mortals, instead acting through certain followers who have proven their devotion to the deity known as Warlocks. Seeing over the sphere of Mayhem the Tyrant favors disrupters of peace in all of their forms, whether they be murderers, thieves, or slavers. He sees the ability to start conflict where there is none as a true test of character. Knowing this it is no surprise that his followers are often hunted. Though governing over the realm of Destruction this does not mean that he is about the end of all things; however, in fact, he has a strong taste for those who create in the ashes of destruction. He despises The Divine Son and The Pure Soul, the first especially. He finds The Allfather to be agreeable from time to time as he has dominion over the Hunt and War and cares little for the going ons of The Muse. He rarely finds himself aligned with The One Eyed Prophet but it does occur. The only true ally they have is The Dark One.

Sphere Of Influence

Influence

Those who stand in praise of The Tyrant tend to hold a truth close to themselves, one of believing. In such a belief, they can see the beauty of a Chaotic world where all is free. Followers see through The Tyrant’s rule that only true order can come through absolute chaos; there’s only sense within senselessness. Such people who believe The Tyrant’s will have been seen disrupting the peace, killing, stealing, or simply just being a nuisance in even the smallest ways to make sure the world never remains calm because he sees a calm world as one without Order to it.

Dominion

Being a God of Chaos, The Tyrant cares little for those of the world as in his eyes, a small ant doesn’t make a difference in the colony of ants. This caring has been pushed onto almost all people within the world, though there are some folk who he has taken notice of in the past. The followers of such a God have come to see that he favors very few people and some of his most devout believers have tried time and time again to be within his favor by being sources of chaos in the world. While he doesn’t usually give gifts to mortals, he has still done so in the form of many things. The most minor of his gifts have been given as bouts of unluck and misfortune upon almost anyone he sees fit. Even the most major of all gifts he’s given come with a price of one’s order in life being collapsed into chaos, his ideal form of order. While this is usually something that would ruin one’s life, those who receive this terrible gift have relished in the insanity brought to their lives and nourish themselves on such a feat. To him, any chaos is good, no matter the cost to the world at large.

Artifacts

The most well known artifacts of Ra'Uki are known only by the Steel Elves. It is said that treasures of Ra'uki lay within the magma rivers of the bottom most pits of a burning volcano. Often many Autumn Elves will venture to volcanic islands, scourging across the magma plains in search of possibly finding a trinket... though no others have been found. The only few artifacts said to exist are so intently hidden that their very names are unrecorded to history.   None exist, save perhaps deep within the caverns of the Gahori capital or within the lands of the Uvari, but, if they do, none save their leaders know of their existence.

Mortal Facets

Ra'uki

Ra'uki is a god of duality. He embodies giving and taking, creation and destruction, the ebb and flow of the tide. The fickle god of the Autumn Elves brings great boons of fertility and luck, as long as he remains placated, but should he be shunned, ruin will surely follow. Autumn Elves pay him great respect and nearly every individual pays regular tribute to keep him appeased.

Symbols: The Split Mask, Volcanoes
Followers: Autumn Elves
Other Names: The Two-Faced God

Influence

Ra'uki brings his followers the strength to forge great settlements and bring destruction to their enemies. He influences the fertility of the volcanic slopes the Oe Il'ha inhabit, and the violent eruptions that periodically threaten their settlements.

Powers

Ra'uki controls volcanic activities across the world, in addition to the ability to pacify or enrage his followers towards a united cause. He is the prime creator of new land, born from the depths of the ocean, and expanding small islands into archipelagos and even continents.

Bomani

(This section is common knowledge solely amongst beastfolk, however, only Gahori know that their god of choice is an alter-ego of him, and their society has been shaped by him.)
The Master (Bomani) is a mysterious deity that is fundamentally connected with the Beastfolk, and their urge. Not much is known about him, or likely ever will be, but he is almost universally despised by the beastfolk, with a couple of notable racial exceptions. The sects of beastfolk that do worship him are akin to those who worship demons in the Armusian heartlands, and for them death is but a light punishment.
No Known Depictions Exist
Domain(s): Spirits, Construction, Others?, Presumably Anoma
Symbols: Mallet, A Shackle, Chains
Followers: Most Gahori
Other Names: The Maker, Bomani

Influence

Nobody has seen, or heard of, the Master for epochs. For all intensive purposes, he seems to have disappeared. Lasting traces of his existence do remain, however. Urges, say some of the ancient myths and legends of the beastfolk, originate from him, and if that were the case (even his existence is hotly debated amongst the beastfolk themselves) he is responsible for shaping the entirety of beastfolk civilization

Powers

Unknown. Ancient beastfolk myths speak of enchanted, invisible shackles which made them willingly subservient to him, but this, like many things about the master, is shrouded in mystery and unverifiable.

Akna

In the "missing" country of Entheric lives an incredible amount of Voudr and there a select few of them worship the deity known as Akna. A being of tyranny, ice and blood who granted the first Voudr of their country sanctuary. Perfect for the location of their people and while Winter Elf worship is usually reserved for Covrudurth or Xulzraiss, all Winter Elves turn to Akna when embarking on a trial for True Ice. She is considered one of the oldest Winter Elves and holds extensive power from her fey heritage to do what she does.

Influence

Akna has influence over the winds of cold climates and frozen ichor.

Powers

Akna has the ability to create blood from nothing, as well as True Ice. She may also assist in the opening of ones Fae Sparks.

The Viscera Cult

The Tyrant’s most loyal followers came together long long ago, all holding close to his most true ideals. They saw, through interaction with his Facets, what he really wanted and they all wanted to please him, thus they created a group in secret. Each night after their inception, they traveled to homes whispered the gospel of Order in Chaos to those most susceptible to believing their words. Slowly but surely, they got others to help breed unrest in the first city they settled under first. Far and wide, they broke households apart by spreading lies to both husbands and wives, murdered those who praised Order by Law, and even tortured and maimed government officials who sought to put an end to the Viscera Cult.   As the years passed and the Cult grew, it became noticed by The Tyrant himself who became pleased with the work of such a group. He saw that there was truly Order within such a maddened group of individuals and to those at the top, he bestowed his most elegant gift: The status of Warlock. In time, they grew in power and tore apart more and more people, enjoying how their magical gift worked with them. As soon as the peak came, it left as Warlocks went after the weaklings within the Viscera Cult, forcing it to downsize and become less known.

History

Ra'uki

At the dawn of creation, when The Maker extended his influence along the limbs of Etes H'evelm, worlds were mere conjoined masses of minerals melted by the rhythm of Sheyr, ever changing and unpredictable. In this context of constant creation and destruction, Ra'uki was brought into existence, and with him came subtle order. Whether he was made by the Maker's whims or if he was born as a concept is unclear, but in his wake he harnessed the magma of the surface of the world and contained it all within a single point; the core. There, Ra'uki collected the finest of metals and expanded his influence, occasionally letting his molten ichor break through the landscape to create magnificent mounts and fertile land-masses through his destructive means.   As the worlds were further developed by the Maker's chosen, Ra'uki fell into slumber and only dealt with the issues that concerned his domain, however this peace did not last long, and soon after he was tempted by Nerisys, whom through her silky webs trusted him glimpses of another plane, the Primordial Dream. Ra'uki was deceived by the endless possibilities and opened a tear through the chasmic expanse in order to traverse there, however by doing this he cut his ties with Gaia, and once at the other side he was left mostly powerless and unable to return, this led him into the Courts of the Il'ha, where the found asylum among the deep caves of newly birthed Autumnfolk. As the eras came by, Ra'uki helped them to build their civilization and forged their culture, with his own figure at the center of it all. He demanded sacrifices and promoted slavery in order to obtain their inner embers and restore his own power.

Bomani

Most beastfolk myths agree that The Master was their creator, and, as he was aptly named, their master. They also agree that the urges were also his creation. They disagree on quite literally everything else. Most depict this figure (for depictions of them exist in both genders) as a proto-beastfolk, typically of their own race. Other, stranger depictions of them exist as well though. Ancient carvings in Gahori monuments depict the being in many forms, a strange amalgamation of all known, and some unknown, beastfolk being the most prominent. Rarely, however, depictions of the creator as a figure that seems almost akin to a human, or a dragon, are also present. For most, the Master is despised, which is why almost all the beastfolk now worship other gods.   In terms of his history, they all agree that he created them, gave them Urges, and then enslaved them to do his will. All beastfolk, save the Gahori, think back on this time with horror and dread, and almost every young beastfolk is warned about his potential return. For all but the Gahori, his name, and even mentioning him, however, is considered taboo, and a thing only to be done in the shadows and quiet lest he hear his name be mentioned. Everyone knows who he is, but most are too scared to speak of him with the exception of warning others of his horrific actions.   As to his disappearance, the myths, again, disagree. Javali myths say that they staged a violent uprising, led by Cahiltzur, who eventually slew him in single combat. Maksha myths have them escape, guided by the stars, while doing so causing a cataclysm that killed the master. Other, more frowned upon myths, have them challenge him to a dance-off that they won, and with it their freedom. Verivan myths are more like the second than the first. A single Verivan baby, they claim, defeated the Master and his horde of Javali warriors, with his back turned and one arm tied behind his back. Other, more seriously studied and believed myths, have them flee into the dark caverns and tunnels, so that he may never find them again. These same myths then go on to tell of the Verivan outdoing the Master in virtually everything, before humiliating and executing him, which likely isn’t true. The Gahroi and the Uvari both have him spontaneously disappear, with hints that he was working on a great project.   Beyond this compilation of hundreds if not thousands of spoken beastfolk myth and legend, not much else is known about their mysteriously alluded to creator, if they even existed.
