Azantium Empire

The Azantium Empire is an Oligarchy, with an figurehead nominated by the Council of Rulers. The Council of Rulers is formed by the most influential members of each race within the Empire.   Currently the Azantium Empire covers nearly the entire plains, and is one of the main funding parties behind the Expansion North.

Emperor

Emperor Mulvern is an Orc of the Mulvern clan. The Mulvern Clan is a clan of crafters, who work predominately with Eversand-Quenched bone. They have a stranglehold over this type of crafting, and some say that Emperor Mulvern's elevation to Emperor was part of an elaborate exchange to get the Mulvern's crafting knowledge.

Sacrificing of the Name

Emperor's upon being elevated to their position, give up their given name, keeping only their family name. This signifies their duty and responsibility toward the people of the Empire, rather than their own agenda. Their name is severed with intense magic, essentially stripping it from History. When an emperor is voted out and another emperor is elevated, their name may be reclaimed, but it is a painful and dangerous procedure.

Allied

The Church’s relations with the common people are much more tense, with the common person seeing the Church of the Redeeming Flame as somewhat barbaric in their intensity, though a lesser threat then their twin. This is not to say that the Church’s beliefs are disparaged, Flæmr is one of the most widely worshipped gods, but the lengths that the churches go to fulfill Their edicts is considered excessive by most.

Friendly

The Agamane family provides a lot of services to the Azantium Empire, and many figures within both parties are well aquainted with each other, it could be said that the two parties are actual, legitimate friends. Unfortunately the Agamane family makes a shitload of problems for the Azantium empire due to their inability to just leave things alone. They have this incredible need to stick their noses into things, and it frequently makes political troubles for Azantium.

Tense Alliance

The Church’s relations with the common people are tense, with the common person seeing the Church of the Cleansing Flame as truly barbaric. It is not uncommon for entire villages to temporarily flee their village, taking temporary refuge elsewhere in fear that an adherent of the Cleansing Flame would see some sin within them. Flæmr is one of the most widely worshipped gods, but the lengths that the churches go to fulfill Their edicts is considered truly excessive. Multiple attempts have been led by smaller organisations to outlaw this practice, but the church is simply to large and powerful at current.

Friendly

The Azantium Empire could, at any time, destroy the Horselords of Trust, but it would be an unnecessary waste of recourses, and would inflame the public for no real game, still, Azantium is undoubtedly the more powerful member of the relationship. The Horselords of Trust are aware that they are financially dependant on Azantium's mercy, and are bitter about it, but don't have any issues with Azantium in and of themselves. The Horselords of Trust have many times in the past loaned their Military prowess to Azantium in exchange for goods and services.
