Horse Lords of Trust - People
The Horse Lords of Trust are a semi-nomadic people that spend the majority of their time outside of their village, roaming the plains with their horses. They master riding at the very young age, and are a dominant power in the plains due to their magic-enhanced cavalry charges and flanking manoeuvres. It's said that a Horse Lord's mount grows more intelligent over time.
Funerals held for the Mounts of Trust Lords are gargantuan and extravagent events, with strictly controlled attendee lists, and quite frequently are also the funeral of the Mount Lord themselves, as it is an old custom to have the other half of the bonded pair buried with the deceased half.
Culture
The Horse Lords of Trust are for the most part, nomadic. Much of their culture comes from the Nomad tribes, it is likely that at some point in the past, the Horse Lords were in fact a fourth Nomad Tribe, that then split off from the traditional ways of the nomads once they learned how to partner with horses.
The Horse Lords are ruled by a Council of Elders, who dispense their wisdom to help with the day to day decisions, with contentions, and other disagreements in direction ultimately being resolved by The Cavalry Lord, which is the title of the Hereditary Leader of the Horse Lords of Trust.
Assets
Military might. Trust Cavalry Charges are enhanced with magic, specifically a cooperative spell fuelled by both mount and rider, enhancing their speed, force, and power. A well organised, well executed Trust Cavalry Charge is considered unstoppable, though with some key weaknesses, namely, flanking.
History
Founded by Hagar Gupland, who was born from the forth, forgotten Nomadic Tribe after he discovered the nearly created Horse species, and bonded with them.
