Gérardo-Louis d'Filomeno-Allegro Régis X, given the name Fortunado, is the current Emperor of the Empire of Serenaux. He is an aged man, being well into his nineties, and is beyond exhausted with rulership, though he cannot trust any of his heirs to take over the throne of Serenaux. Gérardo-Louis was the emperor who oversaw much of a golden age of Serenaux's economy and expansion, but later in his rule the prosperity that the nation enjoyed began to stagnate until the coffers were barely breaking even.

Personal History
Gérardo-Louis was raised to be the emperor of Serenaux from birth, being the eldest of his three siblings. His father died when he was only seventeen, leading his mother to a brief period of regency in the early years of his reign. He married young through a political marriage, and his eldest child — Anna-Sophitia un Rathenau, the current Dowager Queen of the Kingdom of Adraus — was born when he was only nineteen. He proceeded to have five other children, two of which he has currently outlived. After the death of his first wife when he was fifty-nine, he remarried in yet another political marriage and outlived his spouse yet again, as she died when he was seventy-two.Appearance
Gérardo-Louis is a man who clearly used to have a tall, imposing figure, but has withered with age. He is currently far too thin for his build, and he looks as if he could be blown over by a gentle breeze. His face is full of deeply-set wrinkles, and his large mustache covers the majority of his mouth.Common Dress and Equipment
Gérardo-Louis is known for dressing ostentatiously. Even his most casual of outfits are most often heavily embroidered with gold and blue threads and are made of the finest silks. Gérardo-Louis was raised on the idea of extravagance and the showing of wealth being signs of power, and he struggles to let go of the idea that he must show an over-dressed self at all times to maintain control.Voice
Gérardo-Louis often speaks slowly and in an exhausted tone that heavily implies his general sense of doneness with the world and with rulership as a whole. While he feels he cannot abdicate the throne, he is tired and he is weak. He cannot keep going on forever, and when he finally passes, the power vacuum he leaves will be insurmountable.Beliefs and Views
Gérardo-Louis is the very model of a traditionalist ruler with a stubborn mindset. He is a devout follower of the Lucian Faith, and he is a believer in the divine right of kings.Relationships
Gérardo-Louis has a generally strained relationship with his family, and he has been exploited by his cabinet of advisors for many years now.Family Ties
