Haven

The Free Haven of Eastrix

The day was as warm as the island's camaraderie, the sun gently kissing the sea-kissed shores of Haven. An outsider, a visitor, had come to Lovers Lagoonm, a port city on the island. Upon hearing of the renowned Council Elders, the individual sought an audience with the esteemed brothers, Valentine and Gilgamesh Legba. The encounter took place at the heart of Lovers Lagoon, in a courtyard bursting with laughter and life. It was here that the brothers often spent their days, deeply embedded within the community they guided. After a brief introduction, the visitor asked, "Your motto, 'Our freedom, Our laws, Our paradise' – what does it mean?"
Valentine, with a patient smile, began, "Freedom is the bedrock of our society. Everyone here is free to choose their path, free to express, and free to live as they wish, but freedom without order is chaos."
Gilgamesh added, "That is where 'Our laws' comes into play. We believe in self-governance, our rules, and our consequences. We respect our laws as they are a product of our collective agreement. They're not imposed, but chosen."
"And 'Our paradise'?" prompted the visitor.
Valentine glanced at Gilgamesh, the mutual understanding evident. "That is Haven," they responded in unison. "Our freedom and our laws create a paradise where everyone is respected and free. That's the beauty of Haven; it's not just a place but a way of life."
A event in Haven
A jewel nestled in the open seas of Eastrix, Haven, formerly known as the Commonwealth of Prim Isla, embodies the principles of freedom, respect, and self-governance. An oasis of tranquility and robust community spirit, it beckons those yearning for a society that thrives on individuality yet cherishes unity. Governed by the esteemed Council Elders, this paradisiacal archipelago has carved out a unique identity, symbolizing a harmonious sanctuary where people coexist, bound by their shared ethos of freedom and respect.

The Transformation from Prim Isla to Haven

The process of renaming Prim Isla to Haven was a painstaking endeavor spanning several months. Valentin, Corbin, and their associates recognized the necessity of a shift in tone as they set about implementing more structured governmental procedures. Numerous names were considered, discussed, and discarded. Finally, Haven emerged as the consensus, a moniker reflecting the more organized approach while simultaneously preserving the spirit of freedom that characterized the former Prim Isla. The name symbolizes a sanctuary, a harmonious place of safety and respect, a beacon signifying a new era for the citizens of the once named Prim Isla.

Public Agenda

Haven's public agenda is firmly rooted in maintaining its unique identity while ensuring a prosperous, harmonious society. The council's principal objective is to protect and promote the values that form the cornerstone of Haven - Freedom, Self-governance, and Respect.   Freedom: The first, and perhaps the most important aspect of Haven's public agenda, is to uphold the freedom of its people. This is not only about the freedom to live as one wishes but also the freedom of thought, expression, and the pursuit of happiness. The Council seeks to foster an environment where everyone has the right to express their ideas and live their lives without fear of undue constraint.   Self-governance: Haven strongly believes in the principles of self-governance. The Council aims to keep Haven autonomous and independent, able to set its own laws and regulations. This not only keeps Haven distinct but also allows the society to evolve based on the collective will of its people, rather than being shaped by external forces.   Respect: Respect for all, irrespective of their social standing, profession, or personal beliefs, forms the third pillar of Haven's public agenda. The Council is committed to fostering a society where every individual feels valued and respected.   Prosperity: Lastly, Haven seeks to ensure economic prosperity and societal wellbeing for all its inhabitants. The Council is dedicated to creating opportunities for growth, fostering innovation, and supporting businesses to thrive. By doing so, they aim to achieve a high standard of living for all residents while ensuring that wealth and opportunities are distributed equitably.   Driven by these ideals, Haven is determined to create a society where freedom thrives, laws are respected, and everyone has an opportunity to prosper in their unique paradise. The council works tirelessly to create an environment that upholds these principles and continues to make Haven a beacon of independence, respect, and prosperity.
