Ember Fangs

The Ember Fangs are a bandit sub-faction in the Chernarus Wasteland, known for their unique blend of ruthless criminality and a vision for legitimate growth in the Chernorussian Zone. Led by the pragmatic and ambitious Konstantin, the faction stands apart from other gangs in their organizational structure, lofty goals, and internal conflicts, making them both a force to be reckoned with and a faction torn by contradictions.

The leader of the Ember Fangs, Konstantin Dragovich, is a Slavic man with a sharp mind for business and an ambition to rebuild Chernarus into a thriving society. Unlike the other eccentric members of the Wild Fang Council, Konstantin prioritizes stability and economic growth, which puts him at odds with many of his peers and even his own men. His pragmatic approach often clashes with the Zone's violent and chaotic nature, earning him both admiration and resentment within his ranks.

  • The Armourer ("Halo"): Responsible for maintaining the faction's arsenal and overseeing its trade operations, Halo ensures the Fangs are well-equipped and financially stable.
  • The Supervisor ("Vinnie"): Konstantin’s right-hand man and enforcer, Vinnie handles the faction's underground dealings and ensures loyalty among its members. His no-nonsense approach makes him a feared figure both within and outside the faction.

Structure

  The Ember Fangs boast a well-organized hierarchy, populated by ex-military personnel and experienced Scavengers.  
  • Regular Troops: Equipped with low-tier gear, they handle routine tasks like guarding assets and securing territory.
  • Inferno Pack: A specialized unit of trained killers used for high-risk assaults and critical missions.
  • Blaze Snipers: Elite sharpshooters equipped with top-tier rifles. Their small numbers make them invaluable for precision strikes.

Murghab Power Plant


  The Ember Fangs' home base, the Murghab Power Plant, is a symbol of pride and resilience. It is an oil-fired power plant that not only provides power to nearby villages but also serves as a strategic stronghold.
  • Defensive Infrastructure: Heavily fortified, the plant is guarded by walls, watchtowers, and a dedicated garrison.
  • Community Amenities: Surrounding villages, a mosque, and a pub create a sense of normalcy for those living under Ember Fang protection.
  • Vulnerability to Emissions: The power plant is susceptible to electromagnetic pulses from the Zone’s anomalies, requiring constant maintenance and upgrades to ensure reliability.

 

History

 

The Siege of Bala Murghab


  On September 26th, 2055, the Ember Fangs, alongside their rivals, the Frost Fangs, launched a siege on the capital city of Bala Murghab. Funded by the New Sun Syndicate, the operation targeted the Iron Hand, the reigning power in the city.  
  1. Victory and Betraya: While the siege succeeded, the Frost Fangs suffered fewer losses than the Ember Fangs and invited the Military into the city afterward. This betrayal ignited a war between the two gangs.
  2. Military Takeover: Exploiting the weakened state of both factions, the Military expelled the Ember Fangs and seized control of the city, leaving the Fangs to retreat to their power plant base.
 

The defeat left the Ember Fangs weakened, with much of their former territory claimed by rival gangs.
