Vasilakis Infantry Rifle Model 1315
The Fotitzaki Pezirou Vasilakis Ekilypo 1315, often simply called the "Ekpo 1315," is a bolt-action rifle designed by Vasilakis Arms. It was the first smokeless-powder, medium-caliber military rifle, and it saw widespread use across Duurn. Variations of it served as the service rifle of the Kaisan Army during the Kaisan Revolution of 1333, through the Last War, and into the Daffodil Revolution. It also served as the service rifle for the Hellissandric military.
The Ekpo 1315 has a tubular underbarrel magazine. It holds a round in the chamber and another in the cartridge carrier between magazine and chamber, for a total of 10 when fully loaded. The rifle is notably long -- even before attaching the 1.1-lb. socket bayonet (Reach 1, 2*).
Fitted with a 1.2-lb. 3x scope (+1 Acc), the Ekpo 1315 was also issued as a sharpshooting rifle starting in 1345.
A commission headed by Nico Caras designed the Ekilypo Vasilakis-Caras 1344, an improvement on the Ekpo 1315 using a three-round charger clip. The Ekilypo Vasilakis-Caras 1345 increased the clip capacity to 5.
