Battle over the Prakva Sea

The Battle over the Prakva Sea was a drawn-out aerial battle of maneuvers and skirmishes during the Last War between the combined fleets of the Republic of Kaisa and Antiopa and the fleet of Drizhni. The battle began in 1345, when the new emperor of Drizhni, Atvo III, joined the Rising Powers Pact and entered the war. His fleet launched an attack across the Prakva Sea, which was met by the fleets of Kaisa and Antiopa.   The two fleets avoided direct confrontation, instead attempting to outmaneuver one another with small probing skirmishes and raids. Both sides were afraid to enter direct combat, for fear of losing their fleets and granting the other side total aerial superiority over the region. Because Kaisa's fleet was split between the North Jiderani Front and the Prakva Sea, Drizhni was given much more room to maneuver, allowing them to land troops in the Glehrheu Peninsula and eastern Antiopa.
