Drizhni
The Drizhnan Empire is a totalitarian imperial state in southern Jideran. It is the second largest nation in Jideran by land area, after the Imperial Jiderani Union. Northwestern Drizhni is urbanized and populous, with a continental climate conducive to mass agriculture and the development of cities. Southern and eastern Drizhni is far more inhospitable. Over time, Drizhni has spread east and conquered the territory of the Määhe, the indigenous people of southeastern Jideran.
Within Drizhni, Määhe are treated as second-class citizens, restricted in movement and settlement. Määhe are frequently forcibly resettled, and Drizhni are encouraged to settle in the east in order to shift the demographics and further entrench the Drizhni as the dominant ethnic group.
Drizhni fought with the Rising Powers during the Last War. The genocide of the Määhe and the Määhen liberation uprisings have been contextualized as a series of conflicts called the Drizhni Storms
