Battle of Occima
The Battle of Occima was one of the last battles of the Last War, part of the failed Humanist League offensive and subsequent Imperial Jiderani Union (IJU) counteroffensive that brought an end to the war.
In 1349, the Republic of Kaisa and Loritania were both losing ground at a steady pace to the IJU, with IJU lines reaching Gemani, Kaisa. Hoping to slow the IJU advance and put themselves in a better position to negotiate for peace, they ordered a desperate counteroffensive. After almost a decade of war and with very little hope of victory, their soldiers revolted . Across the front, soldiers refused orders from their officers and surrendered or fled. Reports from the front tell stories of fleeing soldiers even referring to their reinforcements as "scabs." In Kaisa, the revolt sparked the 1349 Kaisan General Strike and the Daffodil Revolution.
On the front, the IJU commenced their own redoubled offensive in response, and the League front folded in on itself. The IJU nearly pushed to the Kaisan capital, Chypos, before the Symvouli agreed to the Delchi Peace Conference.
