Humanist League

The Makwuni Ganxest was an international political organization founded and led by Khahlanong Hlusa Mfa. Its stated purpose was the advancement of human virtue and unity along integrist lines. It functioned through several component organizational structures, including a military alliance, trade agreement, and an economic and political development body. The League took on member nations, who received the benefits of inclusion within the agreements forming the organization's charter, in exchange for broad adherence to the principles of the League.

The Humanist League was established by Tshakuksuha during the Wellspring of Nations as a reaction to the spread of liberal republican uprisings. It was intended to provide a means through which economic, political, and even military aid could be directed to stabilize nations in revolt, with the additional benefit of transitioning Khahlanong's international influence to a form more suitable to the times. Membership was offered to any nation willing to accept the terms of the League charter, and in return, they received inclusion in the various agreements that took form within the organization. Some nations that met stricter requirements, including the investiture of resources into the organization, were offered a place on the Virtuous Council, the body directing the course of the League.

Through the 1200s and into the 1300s, the Humanist League was broadly successful at promoting stability and cooperation within the "civilized" world, but the harmonious surface concealed festering stagnation. The death of Tshakuksuha shattered the facade, and over the decade following the Red Week, the strength of the League diminished as more and more of the world looked in other directions for answers. The Last War was the final blow, and the signing of the Delchi Peace Conference officially dissolving the League was merely a formality.
