Barbara 'Babs' Ysiri
Last Born Jani, Leader of Change
Barbara Amanda Yysiri- Ydden (a.k.a. Babs)
Known both as the mythical matron mother of the Jani, the last hope forged in the ashes of the fires that scorched the southern empire and spread the good word across Namdia, and as the thread that wove a new era of connection and creation onto the Dreamrealms allowing ancestors and descendents alike to connect, create and share cultural heritage across cultural bounds when she created the NuJania settlement.

Personal history
Babs was born during the invasion of the Southern Jani Empire as the Last True Jani citizen. She fled the falling capital by boat with a small travelling crew made up of different Jani subcultures. As she grew up, her mother taught her the art of Quilting and it's importance amongst the Jani. As she learnt a piece of each person's experiences and history, she weaved each of her travelling companions a Quilt square that when combined joined together into one large garment of all of their stories, symbolising their shared history.
Babs grew up on the road, constantly under the threat of persecution she learnt very well how to hide and stay unseen in any crowd or station. She would track her days with a notch into her quilt, and sew a small square, embroidering it with each regions essense and culture. As she grew up, her quilt grew out with her. She would use her Quilted Poncho to tell the tales and weave her storytelling as she travelled.
As Babs roamed ever on, she would meet a carpenter and caravan salesman, and they quickly hit it off, he offered their family a freshly built set of caravans in exhange for Babs' hand in marriage, and by spring they were wed. Their tale became another myth of NuJani customs and a start to the tradition of a martial cart. They roamed and hitched mostly within the central forest areas of Namdia before settling in a large clearing in the Mid-Eastern forests. Here Babs would raise her first four children, Isibelle, Geselle, Kori and Raere. These would become the foundational four people within the NuJani movement.
Social
Family Ties
Babs' familial legacy is one of many reverant legend, much owing to the fact that nearly all of it is true. While she herself sired only four children, those children went on to multiply, and together they managed to prevent the Jani bloodline from reaching extinction and creating a whole new diaspora, the NuJani. Her immediate family and descendants created the Ysiri clan, and it is said most to all Critere on Namida might have some Jani in them.
