Supreme Court of the Supreme Republic
The Supreme Court is the highest court within the Supreme Republic. It operates as the head of the Judicial Branch and exercises mostly appellate jurisdiction over lower courts. It is sometimes known as the Court of Last Resort as it can hear cases that have been decided by state supreme courts.
Structure
The Supreme Court is made up of six Associate Justices and one Chief Justice. The Chief Justice presides over the court and has the authority to rule on procedural issues while the court is in session. However, all seven justices have an equal vote on disputes that come before the court.
