Adding to the pre-Harvest turmoil, the city was wracked by instability. The eerie wail of a local Banshee had finally been silenced after her mortal keepsakes were recovered and her spirit laid to rest; yet, a chilling anomaly persisted, as those with the sight claimed her mournful presence nonetheless shadowed the Duke's court. Meanwhile, the city barely survived two critical attacks: noble adventurers rallied to save the Glade of Shiandria from a devastating arson attempt, and the Whispering Warrens managed to repel a siege by disgruntled citizens.   The ill-fated gathering commenced with a tense atmosphere, as Duke Guaicaipuro’s special court—organized by his devoted thrall, Governor Cairbre Ó Gallchobhair—followed the swift, symbolic execution of the infamous Midnight Carver, Lachlan Cailleach, offering the populace a false sense of security. In the Duke’s stark absence, Baroness Elara Alda-stjarna and her consort, Marquess Cassius Thorne, seized control of the proceedings, their authority reinforced by Captain Thorgrim the Dark Paladin and Lieutenant Lady Isadora Aethelred, who hermetically guarded the city to ensure no resistance could bloom. The true cataclysm was initiated when the notable scholar and alchemist, Mister Alistair, compelled by the Succubus Nymtyse, the Whisperer of Desires, consumed the purest form of his "Beast" potion and launched a furious assault. This was the signal for the noble attendees, who immediately cast off their mortal guise to reveal their horrific vampiric nature, transforming the court into a slaughterhouse that flowed with the lifeblood of its participants, cascading into the streets of Lullin, with the Battle Cleric of Clan Gren among the very first to perish in the tragic final "Harvest."
