Lady Isadora Aethelred

Lady Isadora Aethelred carries herself with the practiced poise of high society, but her movements have recently acquired a nervous, twitchy quality. She dresses in a jarring combination of styles: a pair of dark, tailored breeches and a bright white undershirt, overlaid with a stiff, elegant corset. Her weapon of choice, a simple but effective billhook, or perhaps a spear, seems out of place with her otherwise sophisticated appearance. Her hands, once soft from a life of leisure, are becoming calloused from training.

Abilities

Blood Bond's Resilience: As a minion of a vampire, Isadora's life force is tied to her master's power. This grants her an unusual ability to resist death. When she suffers a wound that would be fatal to a normal human, the bond draws on a bit of her master's power to rapidly heal her, leaving only a scar. In game terms her Vampire Master can give her any amount of their own HP. This is done before an duel, battle, quest, or encounter. It cannot go above the Vampire Masters starting HP-1. If Lady Isadora Aethelred the Vampire Master does not get that HP back, although the Vampire Master is able to regenerate as normal. The Vampire Master can only do this once per day per minion.   Whispers of the Fated: This is a lore-based ability that allows her to draw upon her master's ancient knowledge and influence. By focusing on an object or person, she can gain a brief vision of their past or a glimpse into a potential future. In game terms this means that she knows special abilities and weaknesses of many characters from throughout the realms.   Emerald Folk Weapons Training: You can use the greatsword and staff.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Lady Isadora once held a reputation as a shrewd and relentlessly cheery merchant in Lullin's high society. Her wealth, accumulated from clever investments and a knack for spotting profitable ventures, was matched only by her boundless optimism. She was a prominent and dedicated patron of the Temple of the Tuatha Dé Danann, known for her generous donations and fervent belief in the balance of nature and the gods. She often spoke of the temple as a "spiritual sanctuary and a sound investment," a testament to her unique blend of faith and finance.

Intellectual Characteristics

In the weeks leading up to the tragic burning of the Temple of the Morrigan, a dark transformation began to consume Isadora. Her cheerfulness, once genuine, became a strained and grotesque mask. She started making what seemed like harmless but highly unusual suggestions to the temple's clergy and guards, her voice taking on an unsettling edge. "You know, all those guards... they might be a bit of a liability if something were to happen," she'd murmur, her eyes darting around as if assessing weak points. Her offers to hire her own private guards, "who would know how to look the other way when needed," were met with confusion and polite refusal.   Since the fires, her facade has completely crumbled. The perpetual gloom seems to have become her natural state. She is no longer just jumpy and paranoid, but actively self-destructive and tormented by her inner demons. She mutters to herself about "the deal" she made and the "debt" she owes. She has become obsessively vigilant, constantly cleaning her weapons and checking locks, not to protect herself, but as a form of self-flagellation, a futile attempt to atone for a failure she knows she cannot escape. The truth of her actions—the chilling extent of her complicity—is a terrible secret festering beneath her frayed, pleasant exterior. She has begun to actively court danger, as if seeking an end to her suffering at the hands of those she has wronged.

What is an NPC

If you’d like to play, but want to reduce costs, then you can sign up as an NPC or Monster. If you choose to play as an NPC or monster, you may be given a role (perhaps more than one). You can specify a combat or non-combat role. You don’t have to choose a class and culture as an NPC, we will choose one for you. You will receive double experience points, standard starting gold, and are eligible for Royalty Points. You will also get an entry at half price.

THE PURPOSE

Monsters, NPCs, and Staff allow the LARP to run smoothly and help players who don't know exactly what they want to play, or that want to help, and/or need help with discounts to take part in the LARP.

The BIG Difference

between an NPC and an Adventurer is that an NPC’s primary job is to help the story move forward and to help players. NPCs fill jobs like healers, essential townsfolk roles, etc.
