Pactborn
Born from Pactmages — either parented directly by the Patron or effecting the child of two mortal parents — the Pactborn reflect the nature of the Patron combined with the features of their mortal parents. From the infernal to the divine and every Spirit in between, Pactborn are echoes of the power that overthrew the Dragon Tyrants. However, as the understanding of the Patrons and the costs of a Pact increases, the view of Pactborn has begun to shift. Once representatives of power, the view of them is being tainted by fears around the Pact that created them.
Cultures
Pactborn do not have a culture of their own as they are born into every society that makes Pacts. And as such their culture is dictated by the society they were born into. While they do have magic power in their heritage, they do not always gravitate towards spellcasting. Nor does their parentage mean the will seek out a Pact. But Pactborn have a higher population of Adherents, Pactmages, and Wizards then other Ancestries.
Rejection of the Pact
Many Pactborn hate the Patron that parented them. Being held apart and more than a little feared by their community leads to Pactborn to blame the Patron for all their problems.
Settlements
Pactborn generally do not create settlements purely for Pactborn, or even majority Pactborn as they are born into their parent's communities. A few will create refuges on the edges of Civilization, especially in societies that are turning against their Pactborn. Pactborns founded Havens, Monasteries, and Sanctuaries that focused on perfecting some aspect of life: academics, art, martial arts, and wizardry were all common focuses.
Religion
Born of Pacts the Pactborn are more aware of the spiritual realms than other Ancestries. As such many are drawn to the priesthoods of their home societies in religions that will have them. But those that reject their Patron parentage will look for other sources of power.
